The episode starts off a little slow, but, my sister summed it up the best by saying "This is boring but, I like the music!". I personally think that the entire episode was amazing. There have been mixed feelings from everyone. Some say it was boring others say it was amazing amlost like a movie. I for one am with the people who said it was like a movie.
Especially the scenes with Romano I felt so bad for him when they said that nobody had came to see him except Kerry. I knew what was coming with the arm and still I freaked out I didn't think they'd show so much. I guess we all know why they gave that graphic content advisory in the begining!
Elizabeth in England, while boring, those scenes were very significant to the character. Grieving over the death of her husband and not knowing what to do or where to go to start getting her life back on track.
For the first time in awhile, I actually liked Kerry. I thought she was great to everyone even joking with Pratt! I hope to see more of this in future episodes!
I loved the Pratt/Carter soccer/this or that conversation that was really good and shows a lot of potential for Carter to have some friends as long as Pratt starts listening to people. I'm sure that won't happen though. Chen/Abby interaction was good too I hope to see more of that as well and I'm not even that big of a Chen fan.
Susan was a lot like her old self in this episode and for the first time in awhile just like Kerry, I liked her. She didn't seem fake like she did in Season 8. I also liked Gallant a lot he seems to have a good attitude in crisis, I like that a lot.
Last but not least, Carter/Abby. I loved all of the Carby interation it was great full of chemistry and banter. I for one and totally at ease with the way Carby is being written I think it's very much like it would be in real life. They still have issues that they have to get past and during all of it they are growing more and more romantically. I can't wait to see how they are going to deal with Carby angst because Carby angst is what will seal it all (my opinion) the angst is what makes them stronger. A lot of people are saying that they felt Abby was being distant. I really don't think she was, for Abby it seems like it's hard for her to express her emotions and I understand because I am a lot like that. She is one of those people that have a tough time expressing themselfs. I'm sure she will come around. It's just the first episode only time will tell.
